Business

With deep roots going back over 100 years, the Old South Business Association (OSBA) has always been a pillar of the Wortley / Old South London community. However, even century-old institutions aren't immune to crisis. The association disbanded during the height of the pandemic. Ian started with seeing if there was interest in having the OSBA come back. The spark ignited a fire. This lead to hosting a swot analysis, deciphering a vision and mission statement, to now being several years in as a incorporated Not For Profit, with a strong 7 member board of Directors and Ian remains as the President. The OSBA has proven its impact time and again. From raising $14,000 to help the Black Walnut Cafe get back on their feet after a fire to fighting for better traffic management and community safety, the OSBA is more than just a collaborative group, it is the collective voice and shield for our small business community, the heartbeat of our economy.
